Putting it all together: common scenarios, infinite workouts

Now that we have mental models of how to think about workouts and the toolbox of what going into workouts and why, it’s time for the fun stuff: building workouts from scratch.

In this section, we’ll take a look at four common scenarios built around one of our four questions as prioritizations. We’ll apply the tools we developed in the previous sections to write a handful of workouts in each of these scenarios, highlighting the variety of ways we can successfully write good workouts through this process.

Our goal in this section is to better understand how the skills we learned in previous sections work together to create workouts with an understanding of why and how those workouts will be helpful, efficient, and good for us.

Finally, we’ll close out this section with a note on what I call “elegance” in workouts, a concept around how workouts are framed in pleasing and thoughtful ways.
